Deposit due for 2009 Balta reunion

It’s time to prepare for the 2009 BALTA REUNION, OCT. 6-12, HERE IN BEAUTIFUL NEW MEXICO!

We have found some lovely vacation homes  for a very good price; look at Sierra Vista and Hart’s Hideaway, the 2 main houses that are right around the corner from each other) in Ruidoso, a scenic mountain village at 7,000 feet in the Sacramento Mountains near the Lincoln National Forest, Ruidoso Downs Racetrack, and the Hubbard Museum of the West. In the winter the town fills with skiers who ski the slopes of Sierra Blanca, the highest mountain in southern New Mexico (12,000 ft.).

Within reasonable driving distance are Carlsbad Caverns, Alamogordo (Museum of Space History & burial site of Ham the Astrochimp), White Sands National Monument (white gypsum dunes), Three Rivers Petroglyphs National Recreation Site (incredible numbers of petroglyphs!), Lincoln (Billy the Kid haunt and center of Lincoln County War), Fort Stanton (haunt of General Pershing, Kit Carson, Buffalo Soldiers, and yes, Billy the Kid!), Roswell (flying saucers, rockets, NMMI, and art museums), White Oaks ghost town, the Tinnie Silver Dollar, Valley of Fires National Recreation Site (lava flow), Inn of the Mountain Gods/Mescalero Apache Resort and Casino, Apache Point Observatory and Sunspot National Solar Observatory, Peter Hurd & Henrietta Wyeth’s ranch near San Patricio, and the original stomping grounds of the real Smokey the Bear—and this is not an exhaustive list, although you could feel exhausted after reading it.

For only $50 per person you will be able to reserve a spot at THIS HISTORIC MADDOG REUNION, THE FIRST EVER!!

YOUR DEPOSIT IS DUE BY JANUARY 20TH, so do not delay! Make your check out to Carolyn Gressitt, and drop it in the mail tomorrow!! Send to:
